2015 Community Cares Day will be
Saturday, September 12th
From the beginning, CHIP has operated and grown by the principles of volunteerism - neighbor helping neighbor - and could not accomplish what it does for people in need without dedicated volunteers. Helping out does not require a huge amount of time, and the few hours contributed each year by many people help an amazing number of needy folks. Here are some ways you can help.
1. If you like to cook or bake, provide baked goods for CHIP's bake sale fundraisers, or box lunches on Community Cares Day.
2. Volunteer to join a work party on Community Cares Day, held on the Saturday after Labor Day each year.
3. Be available to help CHIP's professionals on emergency home repair projects during the year on an "as needed" basis.
4. Help out with miscellaneous tasks such as making phone calls, stuffing envelopes, etc.
